Carbs and dairy in the pet bowl: rice, roti, paneer, curd, milk, soya

Short answer: none of these is poison, and none belongs at the centre of a carnivore's bowl. They are calories in the place where protein should be.
- Rice, roti and chicken — Can dogs eat rice, roti and chicken? Yes — plain and portioned.
- Roti — Roti is not poison and your dog is not damaged.
- Curd rice — Curd rice is fine as an occasional bland topper for dogs, but as a daily diet it misses protein, fat and most vitamins.
- Paneer — Paneer is not toxic to dogs — it is just far richer than most owners realise.
- Milk, for cats — Most adult cats are lactose intolerant, and the saucer of milk is a picture from storybooks, not nutrition.
- Soya chunks — Soya chunks are safe for most dogs in small amounts — but as a protein replacement they fail the carnivore math.
The arithmetic that repeats
Every one of these bowls fails the same way: protein diluted, calcium inverted against phosphorus, and the trace minerals and vitamin E that meat and eggs carry simply absent. Read chicken and rice for the worked example, the pillar guide for the fix, and the bowl builder for your animal's numbers.
