The peer-reviewed evidence behind BARC — Biologically Appropriate, Residually Corrected — the framework Growlrr uses to complete a fresh home bowl to the NRC 2006 nutrient floors. Organised in three tiers: the adequacy problem, the formulation evidence, and the metabolic-scaling context.

A note on integrity
Every citation here is traced to a real, checkable source. One plausible-looking reference that appeared in earlier drafts — a fabricated composite of three unrelated papers — was struck permanently once we could not verify it. For the canine energy exponent we cite Burger & Johnson (1991), reference [20]. The more plausible a citation looks, the more it needs checking.
